The distributor connects a big number of publishers and retail stores including bookstores and convenience stores in the publishing industry of Japan. With the already published items and over 7,700 new items being published every year, there are huge quantities of published items distributed across the market. In a market with lots of varieties and a small amount in each item, Tohan had worked on streamlining the distribution and building an efficient distribution system, and by doing so had responded to the needs of the readers, which had become diverse.
Moreover, Tohan group does not only handle books and magazines but also handle items of wide variety, like CDs and DVDs, and offer a wide range of services. By having the publishing distribution at our hard core, we are expanding our domain identity. Business Overseas

Using the know-how cultivated in Japan, we are expanding our business overseas as well; such as exporting books to overseas, selling foreign books to bookstores in Japan, and participating in copyright business.

・Exporting Japanese books, magazines, comics, and figures to overseas bookstores, distributors, and overseas branch of Japanese bookstores.

・Negotiating with the Japanese publishers for the overseas publishers to secure the translation and publication rights of Japanese published items

・Selling foreign books to bookstores in Japan by marketing planning, promoting, and analyzing the market of foreign books

In addition, we take place as the head office of Japan in TAIPEI INTERNATIONAL BOOK EXBISION and BEIJING INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR and support the globalization of the Japanese publishing industry by expanding its business overseas.
Furthermore, “Taiwan Tohan,” which had been founded in 1990, translates and publishes Japanese books and comics. Taiwan Tohan also publishes an original information magazine,”HERE!,” and fashion magazine,”BANG!” Through these activities, Taiwan Tohan is conducting a live publication activity in Taiwan.
